What is Nearpod? It is one of my favorite FREE instructional tools to increase student engagement and participation in learning!

Not only do I use the Nearpods to go through each of my EOG Prep sheets (so it saves me valuable time from writing down answers on the board every class every day) but I also get increased student engagement and fun opportunities to stamp learning through activities and video refreshers! Run "Live" or "Student-Paced" depending on your needs 

⭐ I run Live for direct instruction allowing me to see real-time results and input from my students which allows for adjusting instruction *in the moment*.

⭐ I give a Student-Paced code for student to complete outside of class or for independent/partner work. 

These sheets are designed to be a key overview of major ideas and topics related to each standard so your students can be prepared for their EOG. There are 3 major sections on each sheet in a consistent framework: 

• WARM UP: Allows learners to jog their memories on this topic and practice with EOG-style questions.
• ⭐ On each Nearpod, there is a Warm Up Quiz aligned to the questions on the EOG Prep sheet. This helps hold students accountable for their practice AND ensures you get student data at the beginning of the lesson.
• REVIEW IT: Allows leaners to fill in the blanks, completing main ideas to help make connections to the overall, big-picture concept.
• ⭐ On each Nearpod, the answers are filled in. As students are writing you can have discussions with them, do cold-call questioning, etc. to help stamp their knowledge.
• ⭐ There are also embedded activities for students to show their thinking and practice with the concepts they just reviewed!
•  APPLY IT: Allows leaners to take the information they just reviewed and apply it to one, all or a mix of questions - further allowing them to show what they know! 
  • ⭐ On each Nearpod, these can be displayed as students are working and can be done as gradual release, whole class OR independent/partner work!
